Concert for Echt Friendship Club

What a warm and friendly welcome it was to a small contingent of fiddlers/mandolin player/guitarist and singers from a slightly more numerous but enthusiastic audience. Friendship Club is what it says on the packet and friendly the club certainly is!

Our numbers increased as Hugh arrived, having managed to dig himself out of snow drifts up in the wilds, then dwindled (someone made a mention of it being like a substitution at a Dons footbaa' match) as Rachel disappeared to try to fix her sick fiddle. She had dropped it in the car park and it had retaliated by shedding bits......glue was called for, as was cellotape....I offered a bit of blue-tack....in the end it was an elastoplast plaster for the sick fiddle, but sadly it was a temporarily fatal injury. We hope she can work some magic and resurrect her fiddle for the next practice.

Apparently our small number sounded good and "very together", so well done everyone and thanks for attending. Thanks also for being a good audience and for the fine tea afterwards. We hope to play for you again sometime soon......and we really will try to work on playing and smiling at the same time (but I reckon that it's a tall order because it uses the same muscles....doh!).
